BREW · BLEND · SERVE

Your first shift,
freshly explained.

Twelve turns to make your best score. Collect ingredients, fulfil orders and keep the coffee flowing.

Play on a Coffee & Cards terminal in Second Life. No HUD or extra game pieces needed.

Start here

  1. Touch SERVE on an available terminal. One player uses each terminal at a time.
  2. You receive five ingredient cards. The three customer orders above your hand show their recipes and points.
  3. Touch an order you can make, then SERVE. The terminal selects the ingredients automatically.
  4. Complete twelve turns to finish your shift and record your score.

Four buttons. Plenty of choices.

SERVE

Select a customer order first. A successful serve uses its ingredients, earns points, gives you one new ingredient and replaces the order. Costs one turn.

Missing ingredients? The failed attempt costs no turn.

DRAW

Take two random ingredients. Costs one turn and resets your serving streak.

SWAP

Touch an ingredient in your hand, then SWAP to replace it with a random one. Costs one turn and resets your streak. You might receive the same ingredient type.

CANCEL

Clear your current selections. Costs no turn and does not end your shift.

Too many cards? You may keep seven ingredients. When prompted, touch unwanted cards until you are back to seven. Drawing from a full hand means discarding two. Another card may fill a vacated screen slot. Discarding costs no additional turn; finish it before your next action.

What’s on the menu?

Recipe points before streak bonuses.
OrderIngredientsPoints
Espresso1 coffee10
Double Espresso2 coffee25
Latte1 coffee + 1 milk25
Mocha1 coffee + 1 milk + 1 chocolate45
Vanilla Latte1 coffee + 1 milk + 1 syrup45
House Special2 coffee + 1 milk + 1 chocolate65
Keep the streak brewing. Your first successful serve earns normal points. Your second consecutive serve earns +5, and your third and each further consecutive serve earn +10. DRAW or SWAP resets the streak.

For example: a Latte, then a Mocha, then an Espresso without drawing or swapping earns 25 + 50 + 20 = 95 points.

Finishing your shift

Successful serves, draws and swaps each use one of your twelve turns. If the last action leaves you over the hand limit, finish discarding to complete the shift.

There is no speed bonus, but three minutes without game input ends an inactive shift without recording a completed score. An owner ending the game or powering off also ends an unfinished shift.

Tip: compare all three orders before spending ingredients. A valuable recipe can be worth saving for, while smaller orders can help build a streak.

Where does your score go?

Local Top 10

Each terminal keeps its own top ten, with one best completed score per avatar. A different terminal can have a different local table.

The online league

When the owner has enabled network play before your shift starts, your completed result is submitted to the shared monthly and all-time rankings across participating cafés.

Each online table keeps one best result per player. Equal scores favour the earlier result. A submitted score only appears in the displayed Top 10 if it ranks high enough. The monthly table starts fresh at the beginning of each month in Second Life time; all-time records remain.

Allow time for scores to upload. In-world wall leaderboards refresh approximately every five minutes. Network play publishes your avatar name, score and café.

For café owners: local scores stay with the individual terminal. Take and re-rez that same object to preserve them. A fresh original copy starts with its own local table; online results remain on the server.
